In Car Cameras, Prince William County and Chief Deane…
Riley at Virginia Virtucon asks some good questions regarding Prince William County’s "in car camera" deal. Several others, including Two Conservatives, have posts up regarding the program.
I commented on both blogs regarding the program, the more extensive response on Virginia Virtucon.
The two big questions on most of the blogs I have read are:
Why does it cost 3.1 million dollars for cameras in police cars?
Why does Chief Deane feel he needs them to protect against law suits?
The first question I believe I answered pretty well on Virginia Virtucon. The second, I can not begin to answer. But using the cameras to provide evidence against law suits is a viable use. As well as others.
Please read both entries and if you have questions, I will try to answer them. Leave responses on Virginia Virtucon.
