Conservative Mayor Krasnoff takes seat vacated by Dalton Edge
A mixed bag of results for the rest of the seats.
Alan P. Krasnoff, 60, a chiropractor who was first elected to City Council in 1990, will be Chesapeake’s newest mayor.
He defeated Rebecca Adams, 63, a principal at Great Bridge Middle who has been on City Council since 2006. She is an independent who won an endorsement from the Chesapeake Democratic Party. Krasnoff was backed by the Republicans. -=SOURCE=-
